Saint Sebastian is a queer coming-of-age musical comedy, set over Easter weekend on a Christian retreat farm for low-income families. It’s a story about socioeconomic privilege, identity in conflict with religious tradition, and all the awkwardest bits of adolescence. At the heart of the story is the relationship of Sebastian, a sheltered, naive kid whose parents own the farm, and Jamie, a housing-insecure kid staying at the farm with his single mother. Through this new friendship, Sebastian is forced to confront his faith and his identity - with help along the way from the kids at the farm, an ensemble of rowdy barn animals, and his favorite gospel group, Sister Sarah and the Second to Nuns.
